Russian passenger plane loses contact in Far East

VLADIVOSTOK - A passenger aircraft has lost contact in Russia's Far Eastern Amur Oblast, local emergency services reported on Thursday.

The missing aircraft, an Antonov An-24, is operated by Angara Airlines. There were 43 passengers on board, along with six crew members, according to Amur Oblast Governor Vasily Orlov.
